About the position
Reporting to the Space Planning Manager, the Space Planners are responsible for developing and implementing customer-focused modular plans (planograms) that opimise store space, maximise sales and profit, and enhance the customer shopping experience.
This involves using data analysis, market research, and shopper insights to design layouts and planograms that align with business strategy and financial objectives, considering seasonality and category trading plans.
Responsibilities:
- Research, plan, and design planograms and floorplans using category and shopper insights, including 3D virtual store design
- Execute and support brand standards and cluster-specific requirements
- Analyse space allocation and benchmark against standards
- Design layouts to maximize sales, profit, and customer satisfaction
- Review and adjust layouts based on shopping patterns and business strategy
- Develop category plans for assortment, pricing, shelf layout, new stores, promotions, and store revamps
- Implement, review, and audit space planning projects
- Maintain image libraries and fixture/modular databases
- Manage projects and analyse data to inform decisions
Requirements:
- Relevant business qualification (Marketing, Business Commerce, Supply Chain)
- 2-3 years of space planning experience
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, CAD, JDA, Spaceman, or other space planning software; experience with floor planning and AS400/SAP
- Strong commercial awareness, data analysis, and presentation skills
- Excellent communication and influencing abilities across all stakeholder levels
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure with effective time management
