About the position
We are looking for a seasoned Solutions Architect at Tech Lead level to spearhead high-level architectural design and integration strategies for enterprise systems. This role is perfect for an expert with over a decade of experience in software development and architectural leadership, especially within cloud-based and microservices-driven environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive enterprise, solution, and application architecture strategies across platforms.
- Design end-to-end systems involving APIs, data flow, microservices, and backend integrations.
- Lead cross-functional teams in the implementation of scalable, secure, and modern solutions.
- Define and enforce architecture standards, best practices, and governance models.
- Act as a technical authority and mentor within Agile delivery teams.
Technical Expertise
- Architecture & Integration: Proven experience in enterprise-grade architecture and full system integration.
- Cloud Platforms: Advanced knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP; capable of architecting hybrid and multi-cloud solutions.
- Development Expertise: Proficient in Java, Python, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript with practical experience in frameworks like Spring Boot, .NET Core, and Node.js.
- DevOps & Infrastructure: Hands-on knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, and Ansible.
- Monitoring & Observability: Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, and related tools.
- Security & Compliance: Strong understanding of secure system design, IAM, encryption, and regulatory standards (e.g., POPIA, ISO 27001).
- Data & Analytics: Solid grasp of SQL/NoSQL databases, data lakes, ETL pipelines, and analytics platforms.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in software architecture, engineering, or cloud solutions.
- Demonstrated leadership in complex project environments.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and decision-making abilities.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices and enterprise project delivery.
