About the position

?? Solution Architect | Hybrid | Johannesburg

We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect to join a dynamic enterprise environment in a hybrid working model.

This role calls for a strategic thinker who can design and govern end-to-end solutions while aligning technology to business strategy.

?? What You'll Be Responsible For:

• Defining end-to-end solution architectures across application, integration, data, and infrastructure layers
• Producing high-quality architecture artefacts (design documents, diagrams, roadmaps)
• Ensuring solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, security, availability)
• Translating business capabilities into practical, cost-effective technology solutions
• Evaluating and selecting appropriate technologies and platforms
• Participating in architecture governance and design authority forums
• Managing architectural risks, constraints, and deviations
• Maintaining visibility of current-state and target-state system landscapes

?? Required Expertise:

Architecture & Design

• Strong solution architecture experience across enterprise layers
• TOGAF, Zachman or similar frameworks
• UML and modelling techniques

Technology

• Integration technologies (REST, JSON, Web Services, event-driven architectures)
• Microservices & distributed systems
• Cloud (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, hybrid architectures)
• Enterprise platforms (ECM, BPM, CRM, BI, ESB)

Delivery

• Agile / hybrid methodologies
• Experience supporting delivery from concept to production

Advantageous

• Insurance or financial services domain experience
