You're a dynamic, solution-driven individual with a hands-on approach to managing solar PV projects. You thrive in overseeing large-scale installations, managing subcontractors, and ensuring all work is completed to the highest quality and safety standards. You're a natural leader with strong communication skills, able to motivate teams and maintain excellent relationships with subcontractors. With an eye for detail and problem-solving capabilities, you excel at identifying and rectifying issues during construction, ensuring that all projects meet the deadlines and standards set. Importantly, you must be fluent in both English and Afrikaans to communicate effectively with all team members and stakeholders.
As the Solar PV Construction Manager, you'll oversee all technical aspects of solar PV projects, from managing the construction phase through to commissioning. You'll work closely with construction teams and subcontractors, ensuring that the projects remain on schedule and adhere to all quality standards. Your responsibilities will include site inspections, managing electrical and mechanical installations, developing quality control procedures, and ensuring that health and safety requirements are met. You'll also provide feedback to the engineering department, ensuring continual improvement in processes, and assist with the design and physical installation of the systems when necessary.

To be successful in this role, you'll need a minimum electrical qualification, along with a valid wireman's license. You should have a solid track record in managing solar PV construction projects, with hands-on experience in large-scale installations. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential. You should be able to prioritise tasks effectively and motivate your team to stay on schedule. Experience with managing subcontractors and maintaining high-quality construction standards will set you apart. Fluency in both English and Afrikaans is essential for communication with internal teams and subcontractors.
