We are currently seeking a Software Delivery Manager with strong experience in banking, payments, and DebiCheck to lead the successful delivery of complex, high-impact technical solutions.
This role requires a combination of technical expertise, delivery leadership, and stakeholder management, ensuring that engineering teams deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions aligned with business objectives.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of modern software engineering practices, cloud technologies, and event-driven architectures, as well as the ability to lead and mentor technical teams within a fast-paced financial services environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end software delivery lifecycle (planning, execution, monitoring, and release).
- Manage and coordinate cross-functional technical teams (developers, QA, DevOps, architects).
- Drive delivery of payments and Debi Check-related solutions within banking environments.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Ensure delivery aligns with architecture standards, security requirements, and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee Agile delivery processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Manage risks, dependencies, and delivery timelines.
- Provide technical guidance and decision-making support to engineering teams.
- Ensure high-quality outputs through code reviews, testing strategies, and CI/CD practices.
- Monitor system performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Report on delivery progress, risks, and metrics to senior stakeholders.
Required Experience
- 5–8+ years' experience in software delivery, engineering management, or technical project management.
- Proven experience in banking or financial services, with a strong focus on:
- Payment's systems.
- Debi Check (non-negotiable).
- Experience managing technical/engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and scalable architectures.
- Experience delivering solutions in cloud environments (AWS preferred).
Technical Skills (Essential)
- AWS (non-negotiable)
- Java (strong understanding of backend systems)
- Kafka (event-driven / streaming architectures)
- PostgreSQL (database design and performance considerations)
