About the position
Our client, a leader within the fintech industry, is seeking a Social Media Specialist to join their dynamic team in Cape Town. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced, purpose-driven organisation, enhancing engagement on social media platforms to expand the customer base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute creative content strategies aligned with the brand.
- Copywriting all social media content following brand guidelines.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and engagement opportunities.
- Assist in the development of social media policies and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Improve and develop digital marketing functions through social platforms.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to integrate strategies across multiple platforms.
- Optimise social media activities through data analysis, A/B testing, and performance tracking.
- Execute digital marketing initiatives, including paid ads, sponsorships, email promotions, and campaigns.
- Identify Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and report key social media metrics.
- Monitor and enhance social media sentiment, recommending improvements where needed.
- Set up and optimize analytics tools for visitor behaviour tracking.
- Track and report social media activities, providing insights to stakeholders.
- Oversee financial modelling, tracking, and reporting for digital marketing programs.
- Plan and execute digital competitions and promotional strategies.
- Evaluate emerging social media technologies and recommend their application.
- Collaborate with design, IT, and service providers to create multimedia content.
- Assist in vendor negotiations and contract evaluations.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, digital marketing methodologies, and product/partner launches.
Key Requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in a relevant field.
- Social Media and Digital Marketing certification.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Digital Marketing.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok).
- Experience in fintech or financial services (advantageous but not mandatory).
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms, marketing processes, and content creation (both video and static).
