Skills Trainer - Fun Dining at Famous Brands

About the position

Introduction

The role of the Skills Trainer is to deliver exceptional training that embeds the brand's culture, values, ethics and operational standards within all Franchise Partners and their teams.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Implement training in line with the annual training plan to achieve a minimum training completion rate of 90% for all team members across the network
• Deliver ongoing in-store and refresher training to ensure consistent skill development and adherence to brand standards
• Perform administrative duties as required to support the effective execution of the role
• Assist in ensuring that Training Restaurants consistently meet brand standards required to maintain their approved training restaurant status
• Prepare and submit regular reports detailing training activities, outcomes, and progress toward training completion targets
• Assist in conducting skills assessments and completing the corresponding documentation to evaluate team member proficiency
• Assist with restaurant openings by providing pre-opening training, post-opening in-store support and refresher training
• Support the Menu Developer in the creation of new products and coordinate training initiatives prior to the launch of new menus and promotions
• Assist the Operations Team with the execution of strategic initiatives that form part of the annual operations campaign and menu recalibrations
• Maintain all training records on SharePoint
• Assist with keeping all training material & manuals up to date and relevant
• Attend regular meetings to update the Operations Team on training activities, outcomes, and progress toward training completion targets
• Submit monthly work plans detailing daily movement and activities
• Book accommodation and travel for out-of-town visits at least two weeks in advance to optimize cost savings
• Provide consistent and ongoing training support to all restaurants nationwide, requiring regular travel and time away from home

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Minimum of Matric
• A related tertiary qualification would be an advantage
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in Food Service Industry
