Site Supervisor – Building & Renovation Projects (Africa) | 8-Month Contract

About the position

Our client, an international NPO delivering free medical care and lasting hope to those in need across Africa, is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to oversee two building and renovation projects on the continent. About the Role You'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of one of two building/renovation sites in Africa, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification. This is a hands-on, on-the-ground role suited to someone who thrives managing people, timelines, and moving parts in a dynamic, purpose-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations across one of two concurrent building/renovation projects
  
  
• Manage contractors, labourers, and site teams, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to plans
  
  
• Monitor project timelines, budgets, and materials, flagging risks early
  
  
• Ensure compliance with local health, safety, and building regulations
  
  
• Liaise with project stakeholders, engineers, and client leadership on progress
  
  
• Maintain accurate site records, reporting, and documentation
  
  

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a Site Supervisor / Site Manager on building or renovation projects
  
  
• Strong leadership and people-management skills, with the ability to manage diverse, multicultural teams
  
  
• Solid understanding of construction health & safety standards
  
  
• Comfortable working in an African context; prior experience on the continent is an advantage but not essential
  
  
• Willingness and ability to relocate for an 8-month contract (open to candidates from anywhere in the world)
  
  
• A heart for mission-driven, humanitarian work
