About the position

Our client is seeking a skilled and hands-on Site Supervisor to assist in managing site operations and installations within the mining industry. This role is based in Thabazimbi and is offered on a contract basis for the duration of the project. The Site Supervisor will work closely with the Site Manager to ensure that all work on-site is carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with technical specifications and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day site operations, installations, and contractor activities.
• Monitor workforce performance, adherence to safety protocols, and quality of work.
• Coordinate materials, tools, and equipment on-site.
• Conduct toolbox talks and enforce mine health and safety standards.
• Liaise with engineers, project teams, and subcontractors to resolve site issues.
• Report on progress, delays, and incidents to the Site Manager.
• Ensure compliance with project plans, installation guidelines, and schedules.

Minimum Requirements

• Trade qualification is essential.
• Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a supervisory or team lead role within a mining or heavy industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of mine safety and site operations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage teams and deliver against tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to work on-site in Thabazimbi for the full project duration.
