About the position
Infrastructure Management:
- Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure, primarily on Azure.
- Support the management and optimization of Kubernetes clusters for container orchestration.
Monitoring and Performance:
- Help set up and manage monitoring and alerting systems to ensure the health and performance of applications and infrastructure.
- Analyze system performance metrics and logs to identify and report issues proactively.
Incident Response:
- Participate in on-call rotations and assist in incident response efforts to troubleshoot and resolve outages or performance issues.
- Contribute to post-incident reviews to identify root causes and suggest preventive measures.
Collaboration with Development Teams:
- Work alongside development teams to improve application reliability, performance, and scalability.
- Provide support and guidance on best practices for deploying and managing applications in production environments.
Automation and Scripting:
- Develop and maintain automation scripts for infrastructure provisioning and deployment processes.
- Assist in implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform or Azure Resource Manager.
Security and Compliance:
- Support the implementation of security best practices and compliance requirements for infrastructure and applications.
- Collaborate with senior team members to ensure necessary controls and monitoring are in place.
Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
- Document processes, procedures, and system configurations to ensure knowledge transfer and operational continuity.
- Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and contribute to team learning.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 3 years’ worth of experience using Docker, Python, Linux (Ubuntu preferred).
- Rich experience with Container Orchestration Platforms e.g., Docker Compose.
