About the position

We're looking for a hands-on Site Engineer to take ownership of our facilities, maintenance, utilities and engineering functions. You'll play a key role in keeping our manufacturing site operating safely, efficiently and reliably while driving projects that improve performance and support future growth.
What You'll Be Doing
No two days are the same, but here's what you'll get stuck into:
- Lead equipment maintenance and reliability across the manufacturing site
- Develop and implement preventative and planned maintenance programmes
- Investigate equipment failures and perform root cause analysis
- Support automation systems, PLCs and production technology
- Manage site utilities including electrical systems, HVAC, compressed air and water services
- Oversee facilities, infrastructure and external contractors
- Ensure compliance with safety, GMP and operational standards
- Manage site services including security, cleaning, pest control and waste management
- Lead engineering, optimisation and continuous improvement projects
- Support equipment installations, commissioning and upgrades
- Implement and maintain CMMS and maintenance management systems
- Develop maintenance KPIs, dashboards and reporting to drive performance
Requirements - Degree in Mechatronic Engineering or a related engineering discipline
- 5–8 years' experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong experience working with automated production equipment
- Experience with PLC programming, troubleshooting and industrial control systems
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
- Experience implementing preventative maintenance programmes
- Experience managing engineering projects and contractors
- Knowledge of facilities and utilities management
- Experience with CMMS or maintenance management systems
- Root cause analysis and continuous improvement experience
- Ability to develop SOPs and technical documentation
- Strong analytical, planning and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High level of accountability and ownership
- Willingness to provide after-hours support when required
Bonus Points If You Have
- Experience within FMCG, cosmetics or pharmaceutical manufacturing
- Exposure to advanced automation and industrial systems
- Strong project management experience
