About the position
We are seeking a highly competent and experienced Site Agent for one of our clients. This will require you to manage our building construction projects across Gauteng. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of successfully delivering projects, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety regulations.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
- Proactively monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement effective solutions.
- Maintain meticulous site records, including daily reports, progress documentation, and material tracking.
- Conduct rigorous quality control inspections to ensure compliance with standards.
- Facilitate clear and effective communication between project managers, clients, and stakeholders.
- Manage site budgets and optimize resource allocation.
- Enforce strict health and safety protocols to create a secure work environment.
- Coordinate material procurement and manage on-site logistics.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant tertiary qualification (BSc/BTech in Construction Management, Building, or Civil Engineering).
- Minimum 6 years of demonstrable experience as a Site Agent on building construction projects (commercial, retail, industrial, warehousing etc)
- In-depth understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
