About the position
Our client is seeking an experienced Site Agent / Construction Manager to join their KwaZulu-Natal team. This opportunity is ideal for a driven civil construction professional with extensive roads and infrastructure experience who can confidently lead projects from planning through to successful completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day execution of roads and civil infrastructure projects
- Lead site teams, subcontractors, and plant resources
- Monitor project programmes, budgets, quality, and productivity
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders
- Prepare site reports, progress updates, and project documentation
- Manage contractual obligations and project risks
- Drive efficient project delivery while maintaining high construction standards
Requirements:
- National Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering
- Approximately 10 years' experience in roads and civil infrastructure construction
- Experience as a Site Agent, Construction Manager, or in a similar leadership role
- Registration with ECSA and/or SACPCMP will be advantageous
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Ability to manage projects independently and deliver results under pressure
