About the position
Silo Manager – Orange River, Eastern Cape
The purpose of this role is to manage the silo operations effectively to ensure profitability, efficient grain handling, and excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years’ experience in grain/silo operations, hold valid fumigation and grain grading certificates, and demonstrate strong leadership and operational management skills.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in grain/silo operations
- Fumigation certificate
- Grain grading certificates
- Experience supervising or managing staff
- Valid driver’s licence
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily silo operations and staff
- Ensure efficient grain handling, grading, and storage
- Maintain high customer service standards
- Monitor budgets and operational costs
- Ensure sound operational and financial practices.
