About the position

Location: Northern Cape - Morgenzon (Hopetown)

Core Purpose of the Position:
To effectively manage the silo operations in order to ensure profitability.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in a grain/silo environment in a management capacity
• Completed Fumigation Course
• Completed Grain Grading Courses
• Previous experience in effective supervision and/or management of personnel

Skills Required:

• Strong communication skills in both Afrikaans and English
• Computer literate
• Excellent administrative and organisational skills
• Experience in managing budgets and cost control
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Proven leadership abilities
• Sound knowledge of the market and business environment
• Strong business acumen

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage silo operations in line with budget targets
• Oversee staff management and development
• Maintain and improve customer service levels
• Ensure sound financial management and practices within the division
• Oversee all administrative functions related to the silo
