They are seeking an experienced Short-Term Insurance Consultant to join their team in Bellville. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial and personal lines clients, providing comprehensive policy administration, underwriting support, claims assistance, and ongoing client service. Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with commercial and personal lines clients.
- Provide professional advice and responsive service throughout the client lifecycle.
- Manage client queries promptly and ensure a high standard of customer satisfaction.
- Deliver exceptional service while maintaining strong client retention.
Policy Administration
- Issue new policies and ensure accurate policy documentation.
- Process policy amendments, renewals, and endorsements.
- Maintain accurate client records and policy information.
- Ensure all policy documentation complies with regulatory and company requirements.
Underwriting & Risk Management
- Assess and underwrite commercial and personal lines insurance risks.
- Review client information and recommend appropriate insurance solutions.
- Liaise with insurers to obtain quotations and negotiate terms where required.
- Ensure underwriting decisions align with company guidelines and risk appetite.
Claims Administration
- Assist clients throughout the claims process from notification to settlement.
- Process and manage claims efficiently while providing regular updates to clients.
- Liaise with insurers, assessors, and service providers to facilitate timely claim resolution.
- Ensure claims are handled accurately and in accordance with company procedures.
Systems & Administration
- Utilise insurance platforms including FSP Hub, Tial, and Nimbis for policy administration and client management.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all documentation is completed timeously.
- Support ongoing operational and administrative requirements as needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in both commercial and personal lines short-term insurance.
- RE qualification.
- Experience with Contractors All Risks (CAR), Engineering, and Liability insurance will be highly advantageous.
- Strong underwriting and policy administration experience.
- Claims handling and processing experience.
- Proficiency in FSP Hub, Tial, and Nimbis.
- Fluent in both English and Afrikaans.
