About the position

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintenance and repairs

• Conduct planned and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to prevent breakdowns.
• Perform breakdown maintenance, troubleshoot malfunctions, and find solutions to engineering and operational problems.
• Handle a variety of maintenance tasks, which can include mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and welding work.
• Install and commission new or refurbished equipment.

Monitoring and optimization

• Monitor equipment performance and process variables against targets, and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Reduce unplanned downtime and improve overall equipment efficiency (OEE).
• Conduct daily inspections and record data on log sheets.

Safety and compliance

• Ensure the work environment and machinery are safe and compliant with health and safety regulations (e.g., OHS Act).
• Supervise the safe operation of equipment and machinery.
• Follow all technical rules, regulations, and procedures.

About The Employer:

Our client based in Somerset is looking to acquire an experienced SHIFT ARTISAN for one of their Site which will be based in Somerset. The succesful candidate should possesses the following skills and experience:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE




- Matric
- Computer literate
- Forklift license advantageous
- Trade Tested
- Three years' experience at a high-speed production plant
- Knowledge on preventative maintenance
- Must be willing to work shifts
- In depth experience of Corrugating & Converting equipment (operation & maintenance).
- Fault finding skills
