SHEQ Systems Specialist (CPT)

About the position

Are you a SHEQ expert with a proven track record in Quality, Food Safety, Health & Safety, and Environmental systems? Our client, a global leader in the FMCG industry, is looking for a skilled SHEQ Systems Specialist to join their high-performing team in Cape Town!

As a SHEQ Systems Specialist, you’ll be at the heart of driving compliance, improving systems, and ensuring the seamless implementation of SHEQ standards across the manufacturing environment. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring certification readiness, conducting audits, training staff, and supporting the integration of new product systems — all while adding significant business value and maintaining sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain SHEQ and related business systems (ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18000, NOSA, KORE, etc.)
• Lead and coordinate internal and external audits
• Develop and deliver SHEQ training programs and build organizational capability
• Ensure full compliance with industry and legal requirements
• Support the New Product Development (NPD) and commercialisation process
• Compile monthly SHEQ reports and maintain risk tracking systems

Requirements

• National Diploma in Food Technology or related qualification (essential)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in SHEQ systems within the bottling or food manufacturing industry
• Strong knowledge of ISO, KORE, NOSA, and GMP practices
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with SHEQ management systems such as Achiever Plus is advantageous
• Lead Auditor or SHEQ systems training (preferred)
• Willingness to travel between manufacturing sites
