About the position
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented SHEQ Risk Officer to support compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining ISO compliance, conducting audits, and driving continuous improvement across operational sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Compile and maintain SHEQ documentation and safety files
- Conduct risk assessments and site inspections
- Monitor contractor compliance and performance
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses
- Prepare SHEQ reports, statistics, and presentations
- Coordinate emergency drills and maintain response plans
- Support ISO 9001:2015 and ISO [Phone Number Removed]; implementation
- Conduct SHE inductions and training
- Develop and monitor Safe Work Procedures and SOPs
- Participate in SHEQ audits and implement corrective actions
- Maintain accurate records and ensure legal compliance
Minimum Requirements
- Matric (National Senior Certificate)
- National Diploma or Certificate in SHE or Quality Management
- ISO 9001:2015 and ISO [Phone Number Removed]; knowledge
- 2–3 years’ experience in a SHEQ role within an industrial environment
- Competency in risk assessment and incident investigation (advantageous)
- Strong MS Office skills
- Excellent communication, analytical, and report writing skills
- Fluency in English
- Strong planning and organizational abilities
