About the position

Transform Your Career Story with iOCO! We are seeking a seasoned SHE Quality Practitioner who will play a crucial role in promoting a culture of safety, health, environmental stewardship, and quality excellence within an organization. T


The SHE, Risk and Quality Practitioner will be in charge of the safety, health environment, and quality assurance side of the business, He/She supervises and coordinates work systems to ensure that the products or services of the company meet the highest quality standards and that the working conditions of the company are favorable and safe.

What you’ll do:



  • To support line management in delivering Site SHERQ Objectives. Personal Information creach monitoring

  • To lead, develop and maintain company and site SHERQ Management programmes and systems in written format.

  • To perform internal audits to ensure SHERQ Management programmes deployed in business units meet the set requirements

  • Determine the strategic direction of work priorities.

  • Contractor Management (37.2 Agreements, Vetting, booking of medicals, compiling of safety files, booking of required training; Permit to work)

  • Incident Management (Register, Investigate, Problem-solving strategy - Corrective Actions; Reporting on actions taken; Reporting to Government agencies) 

  • SHERQ Management Reviews (Develop monthly committee meetings communication strategy, Compile, present, plan, correct; toolbox talks (Monthly topics))

  • Emergency Preparedness (Plan, Do, Check. Ensure that all drills are done, and findings corrected)

  • Inspections (Random daily inspections to ensure compliance)

  • Audits (Internal External audits are conducted, corrective actions implemented; Regularly survey the work to ensure compliance)

  • Legal appointments (Book training, make out legal appointments and do refresher training for some areas; ensure compliance)

  • Quality management (Supervise and manage all QMS) 

  • PPE Management (Ensure all staff is issued with correct PPE)

  • Risk Management (Implementation and managing of risks)

  • Corrective Action Request’s (Coordinate all CAR’s raised) 

  • Monitor new laws (i.e. Covid-19) that are relevant to our company’s business.

  • Updating of Company guidelines and develop implementation strategies, as rules and regulations change in alignment with the Group and Customer Policies

  • To assist in retaining all current quality accreditations and work towards the attainment of new quality accreditations.

  • Assist with tender/submission documentation.


Your expertise:



  • 10 yrs Role Specific - Lead System Implementation and Lead Auditor Experience

  • 2 - 5 yrs Business and Risk Management Principles

  • 5 - 10 yrs Part of management teams


Qualifications:


Preferred qualifications



  • B degree and ISO Certification - [Phone Number Removed]; and 14001


Minimum qualifications



  • Tertiary Qualification in Total Quality Management, Safety Management, Environmental Health or equivalent.

  • Qualification in electronics, systems or electrical engineering will be advantageous


Technical qualifications / certifications



  • SHEQ Auditors Course: latest revisions of ISO standards

  • OHS Act and Regulations

  • Incident Management/RCat

  • Environmental Management

  • Hazard Identification Risk Assessment (application)

  • SAMTRAC/NEBOSH (Advanced SHEQ Management Courses)


Accreditations / Registrations / Legal Appts / Memberships



  • SACPCMP registered.

  • SAIOH, IOSM, HPCSA registrations will be advantageous.
