About the position
Overview
We’re seeking a dynamic and experienced SharePoint Architect to lead a hybrid engagement spanning both project-based delivery and managed support services. Acting as the architectural and technical lead, you’ll oversee a small, skilled team of 3–5 developers and collaborate closely with a Senior Project Manager to design, implement, and enhance enterprise-grade SharePoint and Power Platform solutions. This is a hands-on leadership role, balancing architecture, delivery, mentorship, and stakeholder engagement to drive strategic value across the Microsoft ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Development & Architecture
- Architect and implement scalable SharePoint solutions using Out-of-the-Box features, SPFx, and (optionally) Power Platform components.
- Provide technical direction and mentorship to developers in SharePoint and Power Platform technologies.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards, governance, and best practices.
Team Leadership
- Manage and guide a team of 3–5 developers, ensuring on-time delivery and quality outputs.
- Conduct code reviews, sprint planning, and technical workshops.
- Partner with the Project Manager to manage timelines, risks, and resource allocation.
Customer Engagement
- Serve as the primary technical contact for clients and stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into practical, innovative technical solutions.
- Present architectural designs, progress updates, and roadmaps to both technical and business audiences.
Platform Enhancement
- Champion continuous improvement of SharePoint environments.
- Engage with business units to identify opportunities for automation, optimisation, and collaboration enhancement.
- Monitor platform performance, recommending and implementing improvements.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 6 years’ experience as a SharePoint Architect or Senior SharePoint Developer in enterprise environments.
- Strong expertise in SharePoint Online / Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Framework (SPFx).
- Intermediate expertise in Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
- Proven experience leading development teams and managing end-to-end technical delivery.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
- Strong problem-solving ability and capacity to work independently in a fast-paced setting.
- Experience with JIRA an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft certifications in SharePoint, Power Platform, or related Microsoft 365 technologies.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with Azure services and integration patterns.
