About the position

Job Summary
Our client is seeking a highly skilled SharePoint Architect to lead a hybrid engagement comprising both
project-based work and managed support services. The role will also include actively leading
implementation efforts, working alongside the team to implement components, and creating
architectural runway for the team on various solutions. The successful candidate will be
customer-facing, engaging directly with business stakeholders to drive platform enhancements
and deliver strategic value through SharePoint and the Power Platform.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement scalable SharePoint solutions using Out of the Box features, SharePoint Framework (SPFx) and (optionally) Power Platform components.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to supporting developers with SPFx and Power Platform competencies.
  • Ensure alignment with best practices, governance, and enterprise architecture standards.
  • Conduct code reviews, sprint planning, and technical workshops.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to manage timelines, risks, and resource allocation.
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
  • Translate business needs into technical solutions and proactively identify opportunities for platform optimisation.
  • Present solutions, roadmaps, and progress updates to business and technical audiences.
  • Drive continuous improvement of the SharePoint environment.
  • Engage with business units to identify pain points and propose SharePoint-based solutions that improve productivity and collaboration.
  • Monitor platform performance and recommend enhancements.


Experience

  • Proven experience as a SharePoint Architect or Senior SharePoint Developer in enterprise environments.
  • 6 years + experience overall.
  • Strong expertise in SharePoint Online / Microsoft 365 and - SharePoint Framework (SPFx)
  • Intermediate expertise in Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
  • Experience leading development teams and managing technical delivery.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong documentation skills
  • JIRA experience


Qualifications

  • Matric and a Tertiary Qualification
  • Microsoft certifications in SharePoint, Power Platform, or related technologies.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with Azure services and integration patterns.
