About the position
Hire Resolve's client are looking for a skilled Setter to join our plastics manufacturing team in Cape Town. The Setter will be responsible for setting up and operating plastic injection molding machines to produce high-quality plastic products. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of plastics processing and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting up and operating plastic injection molding machines
- Loading and unloading molds and materials
- Monitoring machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency
- Making adjustments to machine settings as needed
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues with machine operation
- Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
- Performing routine maintenance on equipment
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Setter in a plastics manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of plastics processing techniques and materials
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet production deadlines
- Good communication and teamwork skills
