Coordinator: Discretionary Grants
Programme Management Office (PMO)

A dynamic opportunity is available for an experienced and detail-oriented Coordinator: Discretionary Grants to join a fast-paced and purpose-driven organisation within the skills development and public sector environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating discretionary grants, ensuring accurate grant allocations, payments, reconciliations, and compliance with organisational policies and procedures. This role is ideal for a highly organised professional with strong finance administration and project coordination experience within the SETA or public sector environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate discretionary grant processes and disbursements
  • Ensure compliance with grant policies, procedures, and record-keeping requirements
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of skills development programmes and projects
  • Reconcile grant payments and maintain accurate reporting systems
  • Provide administrative and coordination support within the Programme Management Office
  • Assist in monitoring and evaluating funded programmes and projects

Minimum Requirements:

  • Diploma in Business Management, Project Management, or equivalent (NQF Level 6)
  • A Degree in Business/Project Management (NQF Level 7) will be advantageous
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a finance management environment
  • At least 3 years' experience in grant claims processing and coordination within the SETA environment
  • Experience in public sector administration and skills development programmes will be advantageous
