The Company:
An International ServiceNow consultancy is looking for an experienced ServiceNow Technical Specialist to join their expanding team in Cape Town.
In this role, you will take the lead on the implementation and optimisation of ServiceNow modules, including ITSM Pro, ITOM (Discovery), HRSD, APM, and SPM. You will guide technical engagements, ensuring the highest standards of solution design and delivery, while driving positive outcomes for our clients.
The proposition: introduction or extended use of ServiceNow within prospects/clients. Extended use may involve proprietary "solutions" or ServiceNow "marketplace" application templates.
Aimed at the Investment Management markets, Private markets and Multi Asset management markets.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Architect and Lead ServiceNow Implementations: Define, design, and oversee the delivery of scalable ServiceNow solutions across ITSM Pro, ITOM (Discovery), HRSD, APM, and SPM, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and client requirements.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with business leaders, project managers, and technical teams to gather and interpret requirements, transforming them into robust ServiceNow solutions that deliver measurable value.
- Solution Architecture: Develop and enforce ServiceNow architecture standards, ensuring seamless integration with enterprise systems and adherence to industry best practices.
- Customization and Development Leadership: Direct advanced configuration and customization efforts using JavaScript, REST/SOAP APIs, Flow Designer, and integration technologies to deliver bespoke client solutions.
- Project Oversight: Lead end-to-end ServiceNow projects, managing scope, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure successful delivery with a focus on quality and performance.
- Technical Mentorship and Team Leadership: Provide expert guidance and mentoring to ServiceNow developers and consultants, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Complex Problem Resolution: Diagnose and resolve advanced technical challenges, ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of ServiceNow platforms.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay ahead of ServiceNow advancements and advocate for innovations to optimize platform performance, usability, and alignment with emerging business needs.
Desired Experience & Qualification:
- ServiceNow Expertise: At least 5 years of experience in ServiceNow consulting with hands-on expertise in ITSM Pro, ITOM (Discovery), HRSD, APM (EA), and SPM.
- Proven Leadership in Implementations: Demonstrated success in leading enterprise-level ServiceNow implementations, balancing technical precision with business strategy.
- Advanced Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, Flow Designer, REST/SOAP APIs, and ServiceNow integration strategies.
- Architectural Design Excellence: Extensive experience in designing scalable ServiceNow architectures and complex system integrations.
- Strategic Communication: Strong client-facing skills, adept at communicating technical concepts to both technical teams and executive stakeholders.
- ServiceNow Certifications: Holding certifications such as Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS), Certified Application Developer (CAD), and Certified System Administrator (CSA) is highly advantageous.
- Complex Problem-Solving Skills: Skilled in resolving technical challenges while minimizing impact to end users.
- Team and Leadership Skills: Proven ability to mentor and guide technical teams, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with at least one investment management application (e.g., fund accounting, CRM, document management, or EDM) is preferred. e.g. eFront, Intralinks, Simcorp Dimension.
