Job Title: Service Admin Manager
Location: Sandton, Johannesburg
Basic Salary: R22,000 – R25,000 (with incentives)
Introduction:
A leading automotive group is seeking an experienced Service Admin Manager to oversee service administration operations at its Sandton branch. This is a dynamic opportunity for a highly organized and target-driven individual with a solid track record in service management within volume brand dealerships.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Service Administration & Efficiency
- Oversee the full service administration function, including job card accuracy and workshop reporting (daily, weekly, monthly).
- Ensure warranty and service claims are submitted and followed up within 24 hours.
- Manage invoicing, outstanding payments, and warranty reimbursements.
- Liaise closely with OEMs and ensure compliance with their requirements.
- Track departmental labour sales and profitability (internal, external, and sublet).
- Monitor daily WIP, cash flow, and recon performance.
- Ensure 100% compliance to internal and OEM audits to avoid financial penalties.
2. Team & Process Management
- Lead and support a team of service advisors, booking clerks, costing clerks, and warranty staff.
- Train new admin staff across all required digital platforms.
- Drive CSI/SSI scores to exceed 90%.
- Enforce adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Build and maintain strong internal and external working relationships.
3. Compliance & Reporting
- Maintain accurate digital records for service, warranty, parts, and recon activities.
- Ensure full compliance with digital systems (e.g., Evolve, IAL) and audit trails.
- Provide consistent data quality and meet all reporting deadlines.
- Collaborate with the finance team on payment allocations and reconciliations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in senior service advisor and administrative roles, with progression into management.
- Experience in corporate dealership environments with volume brands.
- Proven ability to lead a service department to meet and exceed targets.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office and automotive platforms (Evolve, IAL).
- Digital fluency and comfort working in fast-paced, tech-driven environments.
