Service Foreman

About the position

A leading Cape Town-based company in the earthmoving equipment sector, focused on delivering high-quality service, technical expertise, and customer-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities

• Manage service campaigns and ensure successful execution
• Supervise and lead technician staff to maintain high performance standards
• Plan and schedule workshop and field service jobs efficiently
• Maintain strong client relationships and handle all service-related communication
• Oversee and manage the workshop vehicle fleet
• Ensure compliance with SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) standards within the workshop
• Manage and monitor warranty processes in line with company policies
• Provide technical support and assist with resolving complex queries
• Coordinate and manage contractors and vendors for the service department
• Monitor and control Work-in-Progress (WIP) to ensure operational efficiency
• Assist with workshop debtor queries and administrative follow-ups

Minimum Requirements

• Qualified Earthmoving Mechanic
• Red seal Qualification 
• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in a similar role
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proven leadership, planning, and people management abilities
• Sound knowledge of:
  • Warranty policies and procedures
  • Disciplinary procedures
  • Safety and environmental regulations
  • Technical and operational requirements
  • Industrial relations and HR procedures
  • Administrative processes
  • SAP system
