About the Role
A growing international organization is seeking a skilled and motivated SEO & Digital Marketing Specialist to lead the optimization and digital growth strategy for its website and associated initiatives. This role is ideal for a results-driven, strategic thinker with hands-on experience in technical SEO, WordPress, and digital marketing across multiple channels including PPC, email, and content.
You will play a key role in improving website SEO and user experience, increasing visibility for expos and events, and driving targeted traffic through performance marketing and optimized content strategies.
Key Responsibilities
SEO & Website Optimization
- Conduct a full SEO setup and configuration of the website
- Perform a comprehensive UX and technical SEO audit of the current WordPress site
- Deliver a detailed action plan and implement audit recommendations
- Develop and execute an ongoing SEO strategy including: Keyword research, Competitor analysis, On-page and off-page optimization, Technical enhancements
Website Development Support
- Collaborate with the team to improve site architecture and usability
- Support the implementation of features such as: Events section, Business directory services, Event ticketing and online payment integration, Legislative resource section related to European decarbonization
PPC Strategy & Management
- Develop and manage PPC campaigns (Google Ads and/or social media)
- Create geo-targeted strategies to promote expos in specific regions
- Manage and optimize PPC budgets, with boosted spend around key events
- Report on campaign performance, ROI, and strategic recommendations
Email Marketing
- Create and manage an email marketing strategy
- Track and report on email campaign performance
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure content relevance and timely delivery
Content Optimization
- Optimize all website and marketing content for SEO and user engagement
- Implement recommendations from UX and SEO audits
- Support the design and integration of high-performing landing pages
- Help structure scalable content for campaigns and future event listings
Requirements
- Proven experience in SEO strategy, implementation, and auditing
- Proficiency in WordPress and technical website optimization
- Strong knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEO tools
- Demonstrated expertise in PPC campaign management across platforms
- Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot)
- Basic design and content editing capabilities, or the ability to work with design support
- Strong analytical skills and ability to turn insights into actionable strategies
- Excellent communication and project management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with event marketing or membership-based websites
- Interest in mobility, urban innovation, or decarbonization sectors
- Experience implementing online ticketing and payment systems
- Understanding of directory/listing services for vendors or members
- Knowledge of curating legislative content related to sustainability or decarbonization
