Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Execution
- Architect, lead, and execute the full development lifecycle for high-performance, scalable VR/XR applications.
- Provide technical architecture oversight, driving best practices in code reviews, design patterns, and systemic optimization.
- Develop prototypes and actively explore emerging XR technologies to keep our portfolio at the cutting edge.
- Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, 3D artists, and QA teams to deliver seamless and engaging interactive experiences.
Team Leadership & Mentorship
- Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team of developers, 3D artists, and QA testers.
- Cultivate a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and excellence.
- Guide the career growth and conduct performance reviews for team members.
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Plan, manage, and deliver multiple simultaneous VR/XR projects, ensuring all milestones and budgets are met.
- Implement and champion best practices in Agile/Scrum methodologies, Git-based version control, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Act as the technical point of contact for high-level clients and internal stakeholders, translating complex concepts into clear, actionable insights.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Mastery
- Advanced proficiency in Unity and/or Unreal Engine, specifically with VR/XR optimization.
- Strong programming foundation in C# and/or C++, with experience in 3D rendering, physics, and complex VR interaction models.
- Familiarity with shader programming, AR SDKs (ARKit/ARCore), multiplayer/networked VR, and modern VR hardware (Meta Quest, HTC Vive, etc.).
- Knowledge of 3D modeling software (Blender, 3D Max, Maya) and its integration into game engines.
- Proficiency in Agile/Scrum, Git, CI/CD, and unit testing/documentation best practices.
- 7+ years of professional experience in VR/XR, game, or interactive media development.
- 3+ years in a leadership role managing multidisciplinary teams and multiple projects.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering complex, end-to-end VR/XR projects from concept through to deployment.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Game Development, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
