About the position
Description / Synopsis:
A Christian values based non-profit organisation based in Mokopane, Limpopo, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Video Content and Story Creator. This newly created role will be responsible for creating and communicating powerful stories that inspire donors, engage supporters and showcase life changing impact. The ideal candidate is a world class storyteller with strong visual production skills.
Minimum Requirements:
- Degree or qualification in Media, Film, Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of professional content creation experience
- Experience working within non-profit, ministry, community development or humanitarian sectors
- Drone operation and editing experience advantageous
- Exceptional storytelling ability with a strong portfolio of previous work
- Advanced photography and videography skills
- Advanced video editing skills using professional software
- Strong understanding of composition, lighting, audio and visual storytelling
- Experience creating content for social media and donor communications-
- Experience in creating content for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and TikTok
- Strong project management and organisational abilities
- Valid driver's licence and own transport will be essential as driving between sites will be an inherent part of the job
- Willing to relocate to Mokopane
Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop and tell compelling stories of impact
- Conduct interviews and gather content from beneficiaries, staff, volunteers and community members
- Transform real life experiences into engaging narratives for donors and digital audiences
- Capture professional quality photographs and video footage
- Plan and execute shoots in various environments and conditions
- Create cinematic visual content for donor presentations, fundraising campaigns, websites and social media
- Produce documentary style videos, short form social content and promotional material
- Perform advanced video editing, colour grading, sound design and post production
- Develop and execute content calendars for digital platforms
- Create platform specific content for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and TikTok
- Write compelling captions, scripts and supporting copy
- Create impact stories and visual reports for donors and partners
- Assist with newsletters, annual reports, fundraising campaigns and marketing materials
