About the position

As a Senior Treasury Accountant, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing the financial resources of our organization. This position is responsible for overseeing the treasury functions, which include cash management, liquidity planning, risk management, and financial reporting. The Senior Treasury Accountant will collaborate with various departments, financial institutions, and external stakeholders to ensure the organization's financial stability and growth.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Hedging - Preparing, analyzing, monitoring and managing forex & commodity
    hedging requirements.
  • Booking Hedge Deals with Banks.
  • Treasury Accounting - hedge, forex and all other related Treasury accounting.
  • Processing, monitoring and reporting of Forex gain/s losses for the group.
  • Reporting & Analysis - preparing/submitting reports of all Treasury related areas for VZI
  • Intercompany & Ext Debt management & related Covenants tracking/ submissions.
  • Trade Finance - including LC's, Guarantees & other related financing arrangements.
  • Managing & Processing entries on inhouse Treasury Management system.
  • Assisting Treasury Manager with other Banking , Treasury & Accounting related matters.
  • Group Related reporting.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Tertiary qualification (Degree in Finance/Accounting)
  • 5-10+years -experience in Corp treasury environment.
  • Strong accounting, analysis, forecasting & investment management.
  • Forex/commodity hedging experience & knowledge is required.
  • Knowledge in Financial/banking systems and treasury mngmt software.
  • SAP, advanced excel and Microsoft experience is essential.
  • Proficiency in accounting, financial analysis, trade finance and SARB reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of treasury policies, debt management principles and practices.
  • Understanding of CEMAD/SARB/SARS Regulation - Reporting.
