3. JOB EVALUATION CRITERIA
A) Knowledge and Skills
Secondary Education Grade 12
Tertiary Education (including Diplomas, Certificates and Degrees)
Trade Test Tool Jig and Die Maker (MERSETA) Minimum N2
Experience Minimum 10-15 years experience or more within the manufacturing industry in the position of Toolmaker and with extensive knowledge of Toolroom Equipment.
B) Competencies
Knowledge Skills
Sound understanding of drawings.
Fundamentals of fault finding and equipment testing.
Sound knowledge on H&S and safe working procedures.
Technical knowledge of plastics processing
Problem – solving skills. Installation of parts & related
equipment.
Fault finding and analytical problem solving.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to act decisively and urgently.
Ability to thrive under pressure
High level of emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational skills and result driven
Other Special Requirements
Vast experience in all types of mould maintenance and related components.

Able to make good business aligned judgement decisions at an operational level whilst maintaining maintenance standards, practices & procedures in line with defined and communicated authority and as per instructions.

Responsible for all activities linked to position as defined.
