Senior Tax Administrator

About the position

Hire Resolve's Client is seeking to hire a Senior Tax Administrator to join their team in Kenilworth Cape Town.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and finalize income tax returns and provisional tax calculations across all tax categories.
• Calculate taxes for various types, including Capital Gains Tax.
• Manage and update multiple tax profiles using SARS e-Filing.
• Oversee and take responsibility for a wide-ranging client portfolio.
• Ensure full compliance with tax and payroll regulations, including objections, disputes, registrations, and associated queries.
• Handle all correspondence via e-Filing and attend in-person SARS engagements when required.
• Respond to IT14SD and verification requests, including preparing reconciliations and collating supporting documents.
• Draft responses and compile information for SARS verification queries related to Income Tax, VAT (including customs aspects), and PAYE audits.
• Provide technical guidance on complex tax matters, including conducting research and formulating tax advice.
• Facilitate and complete Voluntary Disclosure Programme (VDP) applications.
• Prepare and submit dividend tax returns.
• Consult and liaise directly with clients on various tax matters.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar tax environment.
• Relevant diploma or equivalent qualification in taxation or finance.
• SARS Tax Practitioner registration is advantageous.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Experience with ProfSoft software is beneficial.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong eye for detail.
• Ability to manage pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Own transport preferred, with a valid South African driver’s license.
