About the position
A well-established engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Revit Technician / Draftsperson to join their professional team in Pretoria. This role is ideal for a technically skilled and detail-oriented drafting professional with extensive experience in structural modelling, reinforced concrete detailing, and structural steel drafting.
The successful candidate will play a key role in producing accurate structural drawings and models, supporting engineering teams, and ensuring high-quality technical documentation across a variety of structural and infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities:
Structural Drafting & Modelling:
- Prepare detailed structural drawings and models for reinforced concrete and structural steel projects.
- Develop accurate construction detailing and technical documentation in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Create and maintain Revit models and AutoCAD drawings for structural engineering projects.
- Produce reinforcement detailing and structural steel shop drawings where required.
- Ensure all drawings and models are accurate, coordinated, and issued within project deadlines.
Technical Coordination & Support:
- Collaborate closely with structural engineers, technicians, and project teams.
- Review drawings and identify potential clashes, inconsistencies, or design issues.
- Assist with revisions, updates, and coordination of project documentation.
- Maintain drawing registers, technical records, and project documentation standards.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years experience in structural drafting and modelling.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
- Extensive experience in reinforced concrete detailing and structural steel drafting.
- Strong understanding of structural drawings, construction detailing, and engineering documentation.
- Experience with CadsRC will be advantageous.
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English.
