About the position
A leading South African financial services organisation. Contract, 12 months. Hybrid. Gauteng, Pretoria. Market-related. Closes 16 October 2026.
This is not a ticket-taker role. It is the seat that turns finance, contract accounting and revenue processes into SAP that actually runs. You advise, configure, test and hold the line when a Severity 1 lands. Twelve months. Hybrid. You must be based in Gauteng.
The role
To provide SAP technology solution expertise, advice and support in practice formulation and associated best practice improvement tactics, in order to enable tactical translation and operational implementation.
What you will do:
Process:
· Perform complex tasks and guide implementation, maintenance and support of various SAP modules to enhance business functionality and overall performance, while maintaining customer satisfaction.
· Close communication with functional teams and designers, understand the requirements from provided functional designs and transform these requirements into technical designs.
· Analyse and review requirements, perform configuration and testing in various SAP modules, such as Finance, Contract Accounting, Revenue Management, etc.
· Perform in-depth analysis of the current business processes and scenarios of the client, then recommend or configure solutions to meet the client’s needs.
· Responsible for successful implementation of SAP, providing in-depth functional knowledge and advice on SAP products to clients.
· Provide expert knowledge of industry best practices and recommend changes to optimise processes, systems, policies and procedures, and execute the implementation of change and innovation initiated by the organisation.
· Act as liaison with the client for troubleshooting: investigate, analyse and solve critical SAP functional and application problems and map client business requirements, processes and objectives; develop necessary product modifications to satisfy clients’ needs.
· Maintain a working knowledge of the organisation and adhere to all organisational standards.
· Plan maintenance of current system solutions for various SAP modules, such as Finance, Contract Accounting, Revenue Management, etc.
· Contribute to high productivity and motivation of the working team with the use of your communication skills and cooperation; reach and realise project aims and outputs.
· Review documentation for approval of all work tasks (definition) based on BRS and ensure adherence to SAP Support SDLC.
· Incident resolution for Severity 1 and 2 issues and assist with business escalations for issues raised.
· Plan, design work classes and plan production release deployments.
· Conduct assessments and use information to advise, make recommendations and facilitate improvement.
· Ensure maintenance of current system solutions.
· Perform moderate to complex configuration activities specifically on SAP.

· Provide authoritative, specialist expertise and advice to internal and external stakeholders.
RequirementsWhat you need:
· Bachelor’s Degree / Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, BCom, Finance, Management or Engineering, and at least 8–10 years’ experience in an SAP environment/module (FICA), of which a minimum of 3–4 years at specialist level.
Or
· Diploma (NQF 6) and at least 10 years’ experience in an SAP environment/module (FICA), of which 3–4 years at specialist level.
Or
· Senior Certificate (NQF 4) and 15 years’ experience in an SAP environment/module (FICA), of which a minimum of 3–4 years at specialist level.
Minimum functional requirements:
· SAP FICA module analysis, design and configuration experience.
· SAP FICA module functional training or relevant certification, for example SAP Finance.
· SAP PSCD, TRM or BRF+ is an added advantage.
· Exposure to S/4HANA implementation, Fiori applications, NWBC and SAP integration solutions (for example IDocs, OData) is an added advantage.
