About the position
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to join their team, responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving high-quality digital products and software solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for writing clean, scalable code, designing and implementing automated tests, resolving software defects, and contributing to software architecture and development processes. This role requires strong object-oriented design skills, Domain-Driven Design, Test-Driven Development, and experience delivering production software in an Agile environment. The successful candidate will take ownership of solutions from design through delivery and production support, work directly with stakeholders, contribute to technical decisions, and mentor other developers while maintaining high engineering standards.
Experience:
- 10+ years of experience building and delivering production software
- Experience developing and maintaining applications, database integrations, interfaces, and new functionality
- Strong experience with C#, .NET, and SQL Server
- Experience with Object-Oriented Design, Domain-Driven Design, and Test-Driven Development
- Experience designing and implementing automated tests
- Experience debugging and resolving software defects and production issues
- Experience working in Agile development environments
- Experience contributing to software architecture and technical decision-making
- Experience with modern development tools, version control, and DevSecOps practices
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD processes advantageous
- Experience mentoring developers and conducting code reviews
- Experience taking ownership of software solutions from design through to delivery and production support
Key Requirements
- Strong software development skills with experience building and shipping production software
- Proficiency in C#, .NET, and SQL Server
- Expertise in Object-Oriented Design, Domain-Driven Design, and Test-Driven Development
- Ability to write clean, scalable, maintainable, and high-quality code
- Ability to design and implement appropriate automated tests to ensure software correctness and reliability
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Ability to identify, investigate, and resolve software defects and production issues
- Understanding of software architecture and the ability to contribute to technical design decisions
- Experience developing applications, database integrations, interfaces, and new functionality
- Ability to evaluate and adopt appropriate technologies and approaches to solve business problems
- Experience working in Agile development environments
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-moving environment
- Experience with development tools such as Visual Studio, Rider, IntelliJ IDEA, or WebStorm advantageous
- Experience with Git and Azure DevOps advantageous
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Azure, Application Insights, and SonarQube advantageous
- Knowledge of Java, Angular, React, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 advantageous
- Ability to contribute to improving development processes and workflows
- Experience mentoring and supporting developers through technical guidance and code reviews
- Ability to take ownership of problems from design through to delivery and production support
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound technical judgement, and take accountability for the quality of delivered work
- Ability to work directly with stakeholders to understand business problems and translate them into effective technical solutions
