About the position

About the Role
The Senior Global Social Media & Content Manager is responsible for building and managing the company's global social media presence, strengthening brand awareness, growing engaged communities and creating content that supports the organisation's commercial and marketing objectives across the UK, South Africa and future international markets. This is a strategic and hands-on role combining social media strategy, content creation, community management, brand guardianship, thought leadership and performance analysis. The successful candidate will translate the company's positioning, products, services and industry expertise into compelling, platform-native content that connects with customers, prospects, partners, employees and the wider technology and business community. The role will play an important part in positioning the organisation as a leading global technology lifecycle, IT leasing, asset management and circular technology business, while ensuring consistency of brand, messaging and tone across all markets.

  • Global Social Media Strategy
  • Develop and execute the company's global organic social media strategy across all relevant platforms.
  • Build a social strategy aligned to the organisation's overall marketing, brand, demand generation and commercial objectives.
  • Develop market-specific approaches for the UK, South Africa and future international markets while maintaining a consistent global brand.
  • Identify opportunities to use social media to increase brand awareness, generate demand, support sales and strengthen relationships with customers and partners.
  • Establish clear content pillars covering technology, IT lifecycle management, leasing, sustainability, circular economy, asset tracking, refurbished technology, customer success, innovation, people and industry insights.
  • Develop platform-specific strategies, particularly for LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and emerging channels relevant to the organisation's audiences.
  • Stay ahead of platform developments, algorithms, formats and emerging social trends.
  • Content Strategy & Creation
  • Act as a principal storyteller for the organisation and its brands.
  • Develop creative concepts and content that communicate complex B2B technology and commercial propositions in a simple, engaging and compelling way.
  • Write and edit social posts, thought-leadership content, articles, campaign messaging and supporting copy.
  • Create social-first content including short-form video, Reels, LinkedIn video, interviews, carousels, infographics and visual storytelling.
  • Capture mobile-first content at company offices, customer visits, events, exhibitions and industry activities.
  • Work with internal subject-matter experts to turn their knowledge into valuable content.
  • Identify stories within the business that can be amplified externally.
  • Support executives and senior leaders with thought-leadership and personal-brand content where appropriate.
  • Develop content that supports the wider marketing funnel, from awareness and engagement through to consideration and lead generation.
  • Use AI and emerging content technologies to improve the speed, quality and scalability of content production.
  • Brand Guardianship
  • Act as a key guardian of the company brand across social media and digital content.
  • Ensure all content reflects the organisation's global positioning, tone of voice, visual identity and brand standards.
  • Maintain consistency across relevant company brands, products and services.
  • Ensure messaging is appropriate for different audiences, markets and stages of the customer journey.
  • Work closely with the Head of Marketing and creative teams to maintain high standards of quality and consistency.
  • Ensure content complies with relevant advertising, legal, regulatory and corporate guidelines.
  • Community Management & Social Listening
  • Own day-to-day management of the company's social communities.
  • Monitor comments, messages, mentions and conversations across relevant platforms.
  • Respond to customers, prospects, partners and members of the community in a timely, professional and on-brand manner.
  • Build genuine engagement rather than simply publishing content.
  • Monitor social conversations around technology leasing, IT asset management, sustainability, circular economy and related industries.
  • Identify emerging topics, customer questions, competitor activity and industry conversations that can inform marketing strategy.
  • Escalate reputational, customer-service or sensitive issues appropriately.
  • Develop opportunities to turn community interactions into meaningful customer and prospect engagement.
  • Employee Advocacy & Executive Visibility
  • Develop and manage an employee advocacy programme to increase the company's reach and credibility.
  • Identify employees and subject-matter experts who can become authentic voices for the business.
  • Create easy-to-use content and sharing frameworks for employees.
  • Support senior leadership in developing credible personal brands on LinkedIn.
  • Develop executive thought-leadership programmes around technology, sustainability, asset lifecycle management, business transformation and industry trends.
  • Encourage employees to become ambassadors for the company brand.
  • Campaign & Demand Generation Integration
  • Work closely with the wider marketing team to ensure social media supports integrated campaigns and commercial priorities.
  • Align organic social activity with paid media, SEO, content marketing, email, events, partnerships and ABM initiatives.
  • Develop social content to support priority campaigns, product launches, events and sales initiatives.
  • Work with the sales team to identify opportunities where social content can support prospect engagement.
  • Create content that helps move prospects through the marketing funnel.
  • Support account-based marketing initiatives through targeted content and engagement.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to identify high-value audiences, accounts and conversations.

  • Experience working with international or multi-market brands is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrable experience growing social channels and building engaged communities.
  • Experience developing content strategies that support wider business and marketing objectives.
  • Experience presenting performance, insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities, campaigns and stakeholders simultaneously.
