Senior Site Engineer

About the position

Our client, a national multi-disciplinary construction company specialising in medium to mega scale projects, seeks to employ a qualified, experienced and organized Senior Site Engineer/Sub Agent, with a strong background of managing Civils construction site projects and an SACPCMP registration, to join this progressive and expanding professional team.

Please note that the role is based in Cape Town, however the projects are national and the requirement to be able to travel is essential.  SACPCMP registration is essential
KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION:  

• You will have a tertiary qualification in Civils or Construction management, coupled with 5-10 years experience in large or mega civils and/or building projects.
• You will have a proven track record in pre-construction planning, estimations, scope reviews and inspection plans, as well as coordinating and taking responsibility for all site permits.
• You will have experience in monitoring site activities, to ensure compliance, as well as conduct inspections of materials and workmanship to ensure HSE and quality specifications are met and risk mitigated, as well as coordinate with subcontractors and maintain  reports
• Sound experience in HSE, quality and risk management is critical
• You must have a valid driver’s licence, own car and a clear criminal and credit record
