Location: Johannesburg (Hybrid: 3 days in-office Tuesday–Thursday, 2 days remote Monday & Friday)
Contract Duration: Until 31 March 2026 (with potential extension)

Role Overview:
We are urgently seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in managing enterprise-level security tools, incident response, and vulnerability management, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems.
Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage vulnerability assessments using:
• ManageEngine Endpoint Central (Cloud Security Edition)
• CrowdStrike Spotlight
• Qualys
• Administer and maintain EDR solutions, especially CrowdStrike
• Utilize SIEM platforms (Microsoft Sentinel and Splunk) to monitor and investigate security incidents
• Configure and manage Checkpoint Firewalls for advanced network protection
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify, respond to, and mitigate security threats
• Work closely with the Information Security Manager and team leads for continuous improvements

Minimum Requirements:

• Proven industry experience in cybersecurity engineering
• Strong working knowledge of the tools listed above
• Experience with enterprise-grade firewalls, endpoint detection, and SIEM platforms
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Preferred Certifications (Not Mandatory):
• CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent certifications
