About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SAP Developer to join our team. This role requires strong technical expertise in SAP ABAP, R/3, and S/4HANA, with the ability to design, develop, and optimize SAP solutions that deliver measurable business value. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver with excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across business and technical teams.

RequirementsResponsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy SAP solutions using ABAP, R/3, and S/4HANA.


  • Create and maintain custom reports, enhancements, user exits, BADIs, and BAPIs.


  • Optimize ABAP code for performance, scalability, and maintainability.


  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues across multiple SAP modules.


  • Manage and transport SAP packages (TXE for R/3, PRD for S/4HANA).


  • Conduct risk assessments and coordinate deployments with plant representatives.


  • Collaborate with functional consultants, business analysts, and stakeholders to translate business needs into solutions.


  • Support end-to-end implementation: development, testing, go-live, hyper care, and post-deployment.


  • Maintain user stories in Jira and technical documentation in Confluence.


  • Guide and mentor junior developers through code reviews and knowledge sharing.


Key Skills
  • Expert knowledge of SAP ABAP, R/3, and S/4HANA.


  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning skills.


  • Experience in modular programming, reusable components, and clean code principles.


  • Familiarity with Object-Oriented ABAP, SAP OData, and integration across SAP modules.


  • Skilled in using Git, ABAPGit, CI/CD pipelines, Jira, and Confluence.


  • Ability to work in agile environments and collaborate across distributed teams.


  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engaging technical and non-technical audiences.


  • Leadership and mentorship capabilities to support junior team members.


Experience
  • 5–8 years of SAP application deployment and support.


  • Proven track record with SAP R/3 and S/4HANA, including transport management.


  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments (advantageous).


  • Exposure to Plant Maintenance or related SAP modules.


  • End-to-end project lifecycle experience: development, testing, implementation, and support.
