About the position
The Senior Sage X3 Functional Consultant is the lead subject matter expert responsible for the end-to-end implementation of the Sage X3 platform, particularly in complex distribution and manufacturing environments. This position requires the ability to lead functional workshops, analyze sophisticated supply chain requirements, and accurately translate them into efficient, cost-effective solution specifications that align with client business processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead functional and technical discovery workshops to gather and thoroughly analyze requirements relating to Supply Chain, Logistics, Inventory, Finance, and Manufacturing operations.
- Configure, customize, and test the Sage X3 system and associated modules to meet established solution specifications.
- Develop deep subject matter expertise in Sage X3 to serve as the ultimate escalation point for internal implementation issues and high-level client queries.
- Prepare detailed documentation to validate client information and recommend solutions that drive business process efficiency.
- Support sales teams by providing expert assistance with project estimates, detailed proposals, and technical product demonstrations.
- Act as a strategic advisor for ongoing ERP improvements and business process optimization for existing clients.
Job Specifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in ERP solution implementations (Sage X3 or comparable Tier 2/3 systems), specifically within the Distribution and Manufacturing industries.
- Proven expertise in managing all aspects of the supply chain module, including inventory control, procurement, and warehouse management.
- Exceptional analytical skills coupled with the demonstrated ability to translate complex business requirements into precise technical and functional solution specifications.
- Strong organizational planning capabilities, enabling efficient management of multiple complex projects with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, public speaking, and negotiation skills crucial for achieving successful project outcomes and managing client relationships.
