About the position

Seeking a highly skilled and analytical Senior Remuneration Specialist to lead the design, implementation, and management of fair, equitable, and competitive total compensation practices across all business areas.
This is a strategic role that blends reward design, benchmarking, market research, and leadership. You’ll supervise a team of remuneration professionals while advising on best practice and supporting the business with data-driven reward strategies that attract, motivate, and retain top talent.
Requirements:

  • Matric with a relevant degree or 3-year diploma in Human Resources.
  • Global Remuneration Practitioner (GRP) certification preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years’ HR experience, including:
    • 5 years’ supervisory experience in a remuneration-focused role.
    • Practical knowledge of HRIS platforms (e.g., Sage People).
    • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel Advanced, PowerPoint, Word).
    • 4 years’ general HR experience, and at least 1 year in job evaluation methodologies.


  • Deep understanding of benchmarking and pay design principles.

  • Exposure to financial or insurance sectors is advantageous.





Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement total reward strategies aligned to business goals and market trends.
  • Oversee and mentor the Remuneration & Benefits team to meet key performance objectives.
  • Provide expert guidance on pay structures, benchmarking, and job evaluation.
  • Coordinate month-end payroll processes and manage position control within approved headcounts.
  • Conduct market and industry remuneration research (locally and globally).
  • Prepare detailed remuneration reports and insights for executive and board-level committees.
  • Lead the annual salary review process, increase schedules, and workforce budget submissions.
  • Monitor compliance with relevant labour legislation and internal policy standards.
  • Support the development and implementation of innovative compensation programs.
