About the position

DUR002064 SENIOR RELIABILITY TECHNICIAN –Pietermaritzburg.
An opportunity has become available for a Senior Reliability Technician.

Purpose of the job:
To optimize asset reliability and enhance overall performance by conducting critical analysis of systems, implementing changes to improve machine centre efficiency, coordinating maintenance tasks and projects, and ensuring proactive measures are taken to minimize downtime and address equipment issues promptly.
 
Required Qualifications

  • National Diploma in Engineering; B-tech or Engineering Degree.

Technical Competencies and responsibilities

  • Proficiency in equipment capability and maintenance.
  • Strong root cause analysis and fault-finding experience.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing principles.
  • Excellent computer, report writing, and presentation skills.
  • Experience conducting critical analysis of systems to eliminate repetitive defects and optimize asset reliability.
  • Experience performing failure analyses on breakdowns and planned corrective maintenance, generating monthly reports and action plans.
  • Analyze failures and compile data to focus on repeat problems and design out issues.
