About the position
A multi-disciplinary consulting firm based in Plattekloof, Cape Town, is seeking a Professionally Registered Quantity Surveyor (Pr. QS) to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will work closely with internal Architecture and Engineering departments and contribute to a range of high-impact projects across various sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and interpret architectural and engineering design documentation
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and feasibility studies
- Compile Bills of Quantities and full contract documentation
- Perform tender evaluations and prepare tender reports
- Administer cost control processes including cash flow forecasts, cost reports, valuations, variation orders, and contractual claims
- Negotiate and finalize project accounts
- Conduct value assessments, repair/damage costings, and determine value at risk
- Attend project meetings and provide client support
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including Engineers, Architects, Project Managers, and fellow Quantity Surveyors

Minimum Requirements:
- BTech or BSc Degree in Quantity Surveying
- Professional Registration with SACQSP (South African Council of the Quantity Surveying Profession)
- Minimum of 4 years' post-registration work experience
- Valid driver's license
- Proficient in WinQS, DimX, MS Excel, and MS Word
