Senior Quantity Surveyor

About the position

Our client, a multidisciplinary property development management company operating across South Africa and Namibia, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Cape Town office. This role is suited to an experienced PrQS professional with strong leadership and commercial expertise within property development environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead cost management across multiple property development projects
• Oversee feasibility studies, budgeting, and cost planning
• Manage tender documentation, procurement processes, and contract administration
• Monitor project costs, valuations, and financial reporting
• Manage consultant and contractor commercial relationships
• Ensure accurate forecasting and risk management across developments
• Provide strategic commercial input across project lifecycles

Minimum Requirements:

• BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying qualification
• Professional Quantity Surveyor (PrQS) registration essential
• Minimum 10+ years' experience in quantity surveying in a PQS office
• Strong background in property development projects
• Excellent understanding of cost control, contracts, and procurement
• Strong commercial acumen and leadership ability
• Based in Cape Town
