About the position
My client based in Cape Town is currently looking for a Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to join their team on a contract basis.
IT / FINANCE
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
- SAP certification in Finance (FI/CO) or S/4HANA Finance
- 5-8 years of Quality Assurance (QA) experience in IT projects
- Minimum 3 years' experience specifically testing SAP Finance (FI/CO) modules
- Proven experience in SAP S/4HANA implementation or migration projects
- Strong understanding of Finance business processes and integration points with other SAP modules (MM, SD, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with test management tools such as SAP Solution Manager, Jira, HP ALM, or Azure DevOps
- Exposure to test automation tools like Tricentis Tosca, Worksoft, or UFT
- Experience in retail or large-scale enterprise environments
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage QA and testing activities for SAP S/4HANA Finance implementation and upgrade projects
- Develop and execute detailed test strategies, plans, and test scripts (Integration, Functional, Regression, and Cutover testing)
- Collaborate with Finance Business Analysts, Functional Consultants, and project teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage
- Establish and manage test data, defect tracking, and traceability processes using tools like SAP Solution Manager or Azure DevOps
- Provide QA governance, risk assessments, and reporting throughout the project lifecycle
- Support automation of finance-related test cases where applicable
- Manage and coordinate test environments with BASIS and IT Operations teams
- Provide final QA sign-off prior to go-live, ensuring all risks are identified and mitigated
