Senior Project Manager

About the position

An opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of high-value, complex construction projects. The role is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with strict quality and safety requirements.

The Senior Project Manager will also contribute to the strategic and operational performance of the business while managing key stakeholder relationships and driving project success from initiation through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project delivery from initiation to close-out
• Manage project budgets, cost control, and financial reporting
• Oversee contractors, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and regulatory standards
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks
• Monitor project schedules and ensure milestone delivery
• Provide regular progress reports to senior stakeholders and clients
• Contribute to project planning, procurement, and tender processes
• Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related built environment field
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience managing construction projects (essential)
• Proven experience delivering large-scale construction projects
• Strong understanding of construction contracts and project lifecycle management
• Knowledge of South African construction regulations and standards
• Proficiency in MS Project and other project management tools
• Exposure to Building Information Modelling (BIM) advantageous
