About the position
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to lead, direct, and coordinate high-impact projects within our organization. This is not just a role for a task manager; we are looking for a strategic operator who can apply robust governance structures and modern methodologies to ensure that every project objective aligns with our broader divisional goals.
As a Senior PM, you will be the engine of our project ecosystem, managing complex resource allocations throughout the project lifecycle and driving prioritization at both departmental and divisional levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Orchestration: Lead and direct multifaceted projects from inception to completion, ensuring all objectives are met within scope, time, and budget.
- Governance & Methodology: Apply and champion formal project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid) and ensure strict adherence to organizational governance structures.
- Reporting & Visibility: Develop and maintain sophisticated reporting dashboards and utilize project management applications to provide real-time visibility into project health for executive stakeholders.
- Resource & Capacity Management: Strategically manage human and technical resources across all lifecycle stages, ensuring optimal utilization and identifying potential bottlenecks before they impact delivery.
- Strategic Prioritization: Manage and influence project prioritization at a departmental and divisional level, ensuring that high-value initiatives receive the necessary focus and resources.
- Risk & Issue Mitigation: Proactively identify project risks and implement robust mitigation strategies to safeguard project delivery.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven Leadership: 8-10+ years of experience in project management, with a significant portion spent in a Senior or Lead capacity managing large-scale, complex projects.
- Methodology Mastery: Deep expertise in project management frameworks (e.g., PMBOK, PRINCE2, Safe/Agile).
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana, or Smartsheet) and BI reporting tools (Power BI/Tableau).
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to look beyond individual projects to understand how they impact the wider divisional strategy and resource pool.
- Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate at a departmental and divisional leadership level.
- Qualification: A relevant University Degree and a recognized Project Management certification (PMP, CAPM, or equivalent).
