You're known for your attention to detail, structured approach, and ability to keep projects moving forward, even when dealing with multiple stakeholders, competing interests, and tight timelines. What you'll be doing (and why you'll enjoy it) You'll take the lead on originating and developing renewable energy projects from land identification through to financial close. That includes everything from securing land rights and permits to managing stakeholder engagement, regulatory approvals, and commercial negotiations. You'll work closely with internal teams and external consultants to de-risk projects and ensure they're viable, financeable, and aligned with international standards. As a senior team member, you'll also mentor junior developers, manage project portfolios, and contribute to bid submissions for both public and private off-takers. What you'll need You hold a relevant bachelor's degree (Engineering, Commerce or similar) and bring at least 8 years' experience as a Renewable Energy Project Developer in South Africa, or 5+ years in a related large infrastructure or environmental planning role. You understand the South African regulatory environment, land use, and permitting processes. Strong project management, contract negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills are essential, along with solid MS Office capability.
