You're a systems-driven engineer who takes ownership and thrives on technical accountability. Analytical and detail-focused, you enjoy solving complex grid and hybrid energy challenges. You collaborate easily across commercial and operational teams, translate technical concepts into practical value, and challenge conventional thinking to deliver smarter energy solutions.
You'll lead the full technical design of C&I and small IPP Solar PV and BESS projects - from concept through to IFC stage. This includes developing SLDs, schematics, control drawings and instrumentation layouts, conducting load flow and protection studies, and ensuring grid code compliance. You'll perform BESS sizing, energy modelling and operational simulations, define EMS and SCADA architectures, develop control logic for hybrid systems, and validate metering integrity. You'll also support bids with techno-economic assessments, interface with technology suppliers, and provide technical oversight during construction and commissioning to ensure design intent is delivered.

A BEng/BSc in Electrical, Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering, with 5-10 years' experience in Solar PV, hybrid or BESS integration. ECSA registration (or progress toward it) is advantageous. Strong expertise in EMS, control and automation systems, proficiency in PVsyst, ETAP/DIgSILENT and AutoCAD Electrical, and solid knowledge of grid compliance and protection systems are essential.
